Q: Tell us about yourself – what do you do when you’re not teaching? What are your hobbies? What other formats do you teach? Give us a little on your background.
A: By day, I’m an Accounts Payable coordinator and by night, I teach BollyX at various gyms. When I’m not teaching, I’m dancing. Dance takes me to a totally different world. I’m also certified in Zumba but don’t teach it yet.
Q: How would you describe BollyX in one word?
A: Enthusiastic
Q: What is your favorite part of BollyX class?
A: I love the entire class and choosing a favorite part is hard, but I would say the performance. When people are cheering each other on, I see much more smiles and they get sense of confidence.
Q: How has working with BollyX changed you or your lifestyle?
A: BollyX has changed my life entirely and it has been a huge turn around for me. I never ever dreamed or thought I could ever teach. I thought I was happy learning dance, which I have been doing for about 8 years. When I started teaching, it made me realize I’m capable of doing more and this has helped me to take more risks in life. I’ve learned that it’s ok if you fall/fail as long as you don’t give up. It has also given me a sense of self-worth and self respect. All I can say is, “Thank you to the BollyX Team.”
Q: How long have you been with BollyX?
A: It’ll be a year in November!
Q: What is your favorite BollyX song to teach?
A: I love Gallan Goodiyan and Malhari
Q: Where do you teach BollyX?
A: I currently teach at Texas Family Fitness West Plano every Mondays at 7:30PM and at YMCA Coppell Every Thursday at 6:30PM.
