This week’s instructor spotlight is on British Columbia rockstar, Anett! Originally from Germany, this instructor is one of the first ones teaching in Canada, helping BollyX spread internationally. Read more about her in her interview below!
Q: Tell us about yourself – what do you do when you’re not teaching? What are your hobbies? What other formats do you teach? Give us a little on your background.
A: When I’m not teaching I am your typical mom and housewife 🙂 My hobbies include listening to music, dancing, reading, skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, rollerblade skating, watching movies and, of course ,spending quality time with family and friends. I also teach most of the different Zumba® formats (did I mention I LOVE dancing 😉)
Q: How would you describe BollyX in one word?
A: HAPPINESS!!!!
Q: What is your favorite part of BollyX class?
A: My favorite part is definitely when the participants know the choreography better and they just start feeling the music <3
Q: How has working with BollyX changed you or your lifestyle?
A: It brought me closer to this beautiful culture. My knowledge about the different dances has grown big time. I’ve always loved the music and the dances, but being able to understand and appreciate more about their background is priceless. Now I totally feel comfortable to bust out a move or two at weddings 😉
Q: How long have you been with BollyX?
A: I took my training in April 2016 🙂
Q: What is your favorite BollyX song to teach?
A: My absolute favorite is “Gallan Goodiyan”
Q: Where do you teach BollyX?
A: Right now, I teach BollyX at Steve Nash Fitness Club in Morgan Crossing as well as a corporate class at Lululemon Athletica for their employees.
I’ve also taught at some weddings last year, which was amazing.
Take a class with Anett!
